The Afghan Ministry of Finance has assured all government employees that their salaries will be paid soon.
Ahmad Wali Haqmal, a spokesman for the ministry, said the ministry had begun work on a plan that would soon allow all government employees to receive their salaries.
He added that the Ministries of Agriculture, Higher Education, Education and Health are the priority ministries.
He did not specify in the near future that the salaries of the employees would be implemented in a few days. It is noteworthy that many government employees have not even received their salaries for the past four months and are currently living in the worst economic situation.
