However, Pakistan’s state and intelligence agencies have denied the existence of Taliban militants in some parts of Pakhtunkhwa. But locals say that in some parts of Pakhtunkhwa, especially in South Waziristan and the former FATA, the Pakistani government has no control and the power is in the hands of the Taliban.
Locals say the Taliban are in control and people are turning to the Taliban instead of the Pakistani authorities to resolve their claims. At the same time, some PTM members said that the areas in South and North Waziristan is falling into the hands of the Taliban from Pakistani forces almost everyday.
